Title: The Hero

Description:
This piece is dedicated to the men and woman in the Fire Department. But most importantly to my Father, John Kiernan. He was a career firefighter and was detailed in FDNY firehouse Engine 209, Ladder 102 and Battalion 34. He worked at this house for 26 years and retired in 1996.  I accompanied him to help on 9/11. A portion of the proceeds will go to the fallen officers fund. The painting is printed on canvas known as a Giclee. These are museum quality prints that are designed to last a lifetime. The original print is digitally captured and reproduced using incredibly precise printers and archival inks. This process allows me to custom each print if need be. I will gladly paint the officers name and location on the ax handle or a number on the black portion of the helmet. This picture  will look custom made for the purchaser.

I painted this piece in Italy on canvas. It is a picture of St. Michael from a church named St. Pauline of Rome. St. Michael Archangel is a powerful weapon against evil in the world.
